BOOTH
GRAPHICS ORGANIZER
To assure proper identification and placement
of graphics during production and setup, I
assigned a letter to each of the graphics elements of IPeria's leased
10 x 20 foot booth. I overlaid the CAD drawing of the booth with the
graphics IDs.
Previously, the firm had produced posters as a paper laminate adhered
to heavy gator board. Because most of the
graphics were large, about 83 inches high and about 4 feet wide, these
posters were heavy, and weighed 5-10 pounds each. They flexed easily and were easily damaged
if dropped, posing a physical challenge to booth setup and breakdown.
After
researching options with the graphics vendor, I specified a new
generation of posters
to be output on heavy paper stock, which was then laminated on both
sides with a tough, clear Lexan film. The resulting posters weighed
only a few ounces each, and were conveniently rolled up and
shipped in heavy cardboard tubes. They were adhered to the soft fabric
walls of the booth using Velcro tape.

HANDOUT
I created this "Booth Finder"
for IPeria to provide a convenient illustration for attendees to find
the three noted partnering firms, who were jointly demonstrating a new
VoIP auto-attendant prototype. The cards were handed out at all three
booths.
The card was produced from an amalgam of a CAD map of the SuperCOMM
show floor, .jpgs of logos, and PhotoShop effects, assembled in QuarkXpress.
I printed and hand cut several hundred, on 80# Wausau Exact cover
stock, using the in-house Xerox DocuColor printer.
It was a clear success. Not only did
the cards provide the intended orienteering guidance through the
clutter of the show floor for the intended prospects, but they drew
traffic from other attendees who were coming to the booth to get
"the free SuperComm postcards!"
