Technical Presentations and Papers

As a member of the Steering Committee and an Editor for the annual InfraMation thermographers' conferences in 2003 and 2004 the largest thermography conferences in the world I was responsible for selecting, and then formatting and editing many of approximately 50 PowerPoint and Microsoft Word presentations authored by professional thermographers for each year's event. In addition, I authored and presented my own 25 minute PowerPoint presentation on the use of thermography to optimize hot-mix asphalt highway construction, (see also this brochure used for Sales promotion) and became an acknowledged expert in this field among my peers.

I had lots of opportunity at IPeria to support the Sales Team by mentoring colleagues, as well as doing plenty of solid grunt work -- creating challenging visual components, animations, and establishing style in PowerPoint presentations.

The elements in the examples below were created completely in PowerPoint. You can download and view the original PowerPoint file if you have PowerPoint installed on your computer. View at 400% to see the individual PowerPoint elements making up each drawing.

(Below) Typical VoIP Hardware Components.  These illustrations were made available to all Sales personnel and senior staff for sales presentation purposes. To assure consistency among sales presentations, I rendered these electronic hardware illustrations from life using only PowerPoint to facilitate their use and to enable last-minute revisions without requiring specialized rendering applications such as Illustrator or Photoshop.

The hundreds of lines and boxes in each component are Grouped, enabling users to simply click, copy, and paste them into their presentations. Resolution is remarkably good--approaching true vector art quality--yet assuring relatively small file size.
