THE PROBLEM
When I joined the company, there was no efficient means of accessing information that was vital to the Sales or Marketing staff. The problem was there were thousands of files, often with cryptic and arcane names, stored in hundreds of folders, which were hosted on a LAN server affectionately named "Fatboy." 

My boss wanted a coherent and useful intranet up and running yesterday. Meanwhile, I was also trying to resolve his "Big Three" priorities.

THE SOLUTION
After meeting with senior staff, I was able to creating a useful information architecture and a site map,
echoed as a table of contents on the home page, which is reproduced below. Implementation and maintenance were handled quickly and efficiently using Microsoft Publisher. It wasn't anything fancy--just a powerful reference site for anyone in the company.
